The producer of the honeytrap is Sarah Sulick. Rebecca Johnson said it was hard to find a production company, therefore found one through Sarah Sulick.
The budget for the fim was approximately $75,000. They did an online campaign to donate money towards the production of the film. They got other sources of money including a £20,000 grant.
They found the cast through agencies, theatres, schools. They deciced to do this because they were cheaper and where more authentic to the role and was shot in brixton.
